A thread over on reddit clued me in to the fact that GoDaddy supports the passing of SOPA, and has supported similar laws in the past. First of all, GoDaddy owns several other hosting companies, and even offers domain registering services through Google.
Second, if you're serious about switching, be sure to take advantage of transfer discounts. Many domain registrars offer big discounts if you transfer over 50+ domains to them. Namecheap.com offers such discounts. If you're only transferring a few domains, then they have coupons you can use to bring the price down. Try SWITCH2NC to bring the price down.
Here's my affiliate link in case you want me to get a few pennies per each transfer you do.
So there's this great karaoke/Rock Band clone game called Performous. You should really check it out, it's awesome...when it works. The karaoke part works great, I was able to sing my heart out with my AKG mic connected to my computer through the Shure X2U XLR to USB adapter. Then, I tried to use the Rock Band drums I got off a friend recently. Windows quickly installed the driver:
Next, I booted up Performous. When you start Performous in Windows, it also pops up a little command line box. In that box, the drums showed up as so: You'd think everything is peachy, right? Well, while the drums sound off in Practice mode, I can't for the life of me figure out how to use them in the game. Maybe I'm missing something really obvious, but the rather sparse wiki doesn't have a For Dummies section, sadly. Same thing happened in Ubuntu. I just want to drum and sing my heart out. Is that too much to ask?
